Savills office in Munich is located on the famous Rindermarkt square in the centre of the city and near Marienplatz and the Victuals Market.
The Rindermarkt is one of the oldest parts of Munich, which runs parallel with the medieval city fortification and links Marienplatz to the North with Sendlinger Straße in the West. Originally, this square was used as a cattle market and this is how it gets its name in German.
Later the Patricians established their residences here. During the World War II, the buildings on Rindermarkt suffered extensive damage.
During the reconstruction, the original streets were extended in the direction of Oberanger to what is now the square. The northern section of the modern day Rindermarkt now follows the line of the old streets. Today, Rindermarkt is an oasis of peace in the centre of Munich's old town.
From Oberanger, it is a short walk to the Altstadtring which encircles the old town and which connects to Munich's arterial roads.
