Approximately 310 homes will be developed on the site, which forms part of the wider Kan aan de Zaan area development. The project will make an important contribution to addressing the housing shortage in Zaandam and increasing housing supply in a region where demand for homes remains consistently high.
The site is located within close proximity to Zaandam Kogerveld railway station and benefits from excellent connectivity to Amsterdam and the wider Zaan region.
Bas Wilberts, Head of Investment at Savills, comments: “This transaction underlines the appeal of well-located residential development sites within the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The combination of an advanced urban development plan, constructive collaboration with the municipality and continued strong demand for housing in Zaandam generated broad interest from the market. We are pleased that Blauwhoed and Dura Vermeer have been selected as a strong development partnership to take the site forward.”
NPG B.V. was commercially advised by Savills throughout the sale process and received legal counsel from Hartman LMH Notarissen and Slangen Advocaten. The Blauwhoed and Dura Vermeer development consortium was legally advised by Pharos Advocaten.
