Marcus has been CEO of Savills Germany and head of investment for Europe since 2012.
Marcus has extensive knowledge of national and international investment property markets. He is chairman of the management board and heads Savills investment business in Europe. Marcus studied Real Estate Economics at EBS University of Business and Law in Oestrich-Winkel and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He started his property career in 1996 as an industrial leasing broker at Jones Lang LaSalle, then still known as Jones Lang Wootton, in Frankfurt. Two years later, Marcus moved to Madrid for JLL, where he headed their investment department in Spain. In 1998 he joined Savills as head of investments. In 2006 Marcus returned to Jones Lang LaSalle and was responsible for the capital markets & leasing division in Germany. Since 2012, he has successfully led Savills in Germany with his expertise in investment and capital markets, leasing, retail and asset management.
The financial centre Frankfurt is his beloved hometown. When not on the road for Savills, he enjoys spending time with his family.
